Start with the stain and the surface.
Red clay and rust can affect homes and commercial properties alike. The material underneath the mark matters as much as the stain itself. Concrete, masonry, painted finishes and natural stone do not all respond to the same treatment.
Specialty treatment is assessed and quoted separately from routine washing. Send a close photo, a wider view and details of any sealers or previous attempts to clean the area. Andrew will confirm whether the work is suitable before accepting it.
Red clay staining
Rain splash, soil runoff and tracked dirt can leave orange or reddish marks on concrete paths, entrances and other exterior surfaces. Loose soil and staining within a porous material may need different approaches.
Assessment includes the surface finish, age and condition, as well as the source of the soil. Any proposed treatment should be compatible with the material and checked on a small area where appropriate. If runoff continues, staining can return after cleaning.
Rust staining
Metal furniture, fittings and other sources of iron can leave persistent orange or brown marks. Tell Andrew where the stain appeared and whether the source is still present. Some discoloration may resemble rust but have a different cause.
Treatment depends on the material and likely cause. Stronger pressure is not a universal answer. Coatings, adjacent metal and sensitive finishes need consideration, and deeply set marks may remain. Cleaning alone does not stop an ongoing source of rust.
A careful assessment before treatment
First, identify the surface and discuss the stain history. Next, consider compatible treatment, surrounding materials and drainage. Where a treatment is proposed, discuss preparation, any appropriate test area and how the result will be checked.
Complete removal cannot be promised. Previous damage, etched surfaces, aged coatings and deep discoloration can limit the result. Your quote should make the intended treatment and its limitations clear.
What we can include

- Residential and commercial surface enquiries
- Discussion of suitable treatment and limitations
- A separate agreed scope before work begins
Getting ready for your clean
